Career.zycto is actively seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Risk Advisory Consultant to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your preferred location within Canada, while still being an integral part of our Ottawa-centric operations and team culture. As a Risk Advisory Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor various risks that could impact their operations, financial stability, and strategic objectives. You will engage with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, providing expert advice on enterprise risk management, operational risk, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity risk, and governance frameworks.
Your day-to-day will involve conducting thorough risk assessments, developing robust risk mitigation strategies, and assisting clients in implementing effective internal controls. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including identification, analysis, and evaluation of financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
- Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to client needs.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, internal controls, and enterprise risk management (ERM) best practices.
- Design and execute risk mitigation strategies, monitoring plans, and reporting mechanisms.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and executive boards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with client teams to integrate risk management into business processes and strategic decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to provide proactive advisory services.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's knowledge base and thought leadership initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or consulting.
- Proven experience with various risk frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM, ISO 31000).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, FRM, CRM, CPA, CIA, or CISA.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software platforms.
