Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of risk data, generating insightful reports and dashboards for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risks, providing timely alerts and recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to embed risk awareness and best practices across the organization.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and internal governance standards.
  • Support the continuous improvement of risk management tools, methodologies, and reporting capabilities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering a clear understanding of risk exposures and proposed solutions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Risk Analyst or in a similar role within financial services or a regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and other data analysis tools.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to risk management (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, PRM).
  • Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software platforms.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
