Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare roadbeds and clear sites for construction or repair.
  • Operate various hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors.
  • Lay and finish asphalt, concrete, and other road materials.
  • Perform pothole repairs, crack sealing, and general road surface maintenance.
  • Install and repair road signs, guardrails, and other traffic control devices.
  • Assist with traffic management by setting up cones and barriers.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, pavers, and small excavators (with proper certification/training).
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload materials and supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Proven physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ years) in road construction, landscaping, or general labor.
  • Valid German Class B, C, or CE driving license.
  • Certification or experience operating heavy construction equipment (e.g., forklift, mini-excavator).
  • Knowledge of German safety standards (UVV).
