Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Road Worker to join a dynamic team in the Siemens Campus Area of Erlangen. This is a pivotal role that contributes directly to the maintenance, construction, and repair of critical road infrastructure, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian safety across our communities. As a Road Worker, you will be on the front lines, literally laying the groundwork for progress and connectivity. Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, raking, and spreading asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including jackhammers, plate compactors, and concrete mixers.
- Assist with the setup and removal of traffic control devices, including signs, cones, and barricades, to ensure worker and public safety.
- Prepare road surfaces for paving, patching, and repair, including excavation and grading.
- Lay and finish asphalt, concrete, and other paving materials according to project specifications.
- Install and repair drainage systems, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks.
- Participate in general site maintenance, including cleaning up debris and ensuring the work area is tidy and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic management plans.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Required Skills
- Proven physical fitness and stamina for demanding outdoor work.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
