Job Description

As a Robotics Technician at Career.zycto in Krefeld, you will play a pivotal role in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced robotic systems for our diverse client base. We work with a variety of robotic platforms and technologies, offering a rich learning experience and exposure to different industrial applications. This includes everything from collaborative robots (cobots) in precision assembly to heavy-duty industrial robots in manufacturing plants. You will often interact directly with clients, offering technical support, conducting training sessions, and ensuring their satisfaction with our installations and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, calibrate, and test robotic systems and automated equipment according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct routine inspections, identify potential failures, and implement proactive measures to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Program, re-program, and optimize robot paths and logic for various applications and production requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers during system design, integration, and commissioning phases.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry best practices during all work activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technology.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Robotics Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics principles, automation technologies, and PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for client sites if required.
  • Fluency in German and English (B2 level minimum).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or vocational training (e.g., Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Automation Technology) in a relevant field.
  • Experience with specific robot brands (e.g., KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, Universal Robots).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP).
  • Certification in robotics or automation.
  • Experience with vision systems and sensor integration.
