Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and precise calibration of robotic systems and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues in industrial robots, cobots, and AMRs.
  • Install, integrate, and test new robotic equipment, end-effectors, sensors, and components into existing automation lines.
  • Update, modify, and optimize robot programs using teach pendants, PLC logic, and basic scripting languages.
  • Conduct thorough performance testing and quality assurance checks of robotic cells to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Accurately document all maintenance, repair activities, system configurations, and fault reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and production teams to identify areas for improvement and contribute to new design iterations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company safety protocols, industry standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and training to operators and production staff on robot operation and basic troubleshooting.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of robotics, automation, and mechatronics principles.
  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Universal Robots) and their control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., PLC programming, robot teach pendant languages, scripting for automation).
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with vision systems, force sensors, and other advanced sensor integration in robotic applications.
  • Familiarity with various industrial communication protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g., EtherCAT, Profibus, PROFINET).
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards for robotic cells and machinery (e.g., ISO 10218, EN ISO 13849).
  • Proficiency in German is considered a significant advantage.
  • Relevant certifications from major robot manufacturers.
