Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians in all aspects of roof cleaning operations.
- Safely set up and dismantle ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment.
- Prepare work sites by covering landscaping and ensuring proper protection of surrounding areas.
- Handle and operate various cleaning tools and pressure washing equipment under supervision.
- Perform manual removal of moss, algae, leaves, and other debris from roofs.
- Rinse roofs thoroughly and ensure all cleaning solutions are properly managed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and company vehicles.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including working at heights regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist with post-job site clean-up, ensuring the property is left spotless.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working at heights.
- Ability to work comfortably and safely on various roof slopes and heights.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labour, construction, or outdoor maintenance role (3-6 months).
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with pressure washing equipment or roof cleaning techniques.
- WHMIS certification.
- Working at Heights certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
