Job Description
Masimba Holdings Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Roof Installation Specialist to join our project team in Gwanda, Matabeleland South Province. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the precise and safe installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity, weatherproofing, and aesthetic quality of our buildings, contributing significantly to the overall success and reputation of our projects. This hands-on position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of different roofing materials and techniques, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols. You will work as part of a collaborative construction team, interpreting blueprints, preparing roof surfaces, and executing installations with efficiency and precision. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace various types of roofing systems, including but not limited to corrugated iron, tile, concrete, and waterproofing membranes.
- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate underlayments or protective coatings.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to precise specifications, ensuring minimal waste.
- Inspect roofs to identify and diagnose leaks, damage, or areas requiring repair.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, specific to roofing tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant construction regulations (e.g., working at heights, fall protection).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction trades and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials.
- Provide accurate estimates of materials and labor needed for roofing projects when required.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure durability, watertightness, and aesthetic appeal.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in roof installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in working with various roofing materials (e.g., steel, tiles, asphalt shingles, waterproofing).
- Strong understanding of roofing construction methods and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Competence in using hand and power tools common to roofing.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications
