Career.zycto is immediately seeking experienced and dedicated Roofers to enhance our growing team in Clifton, Bristol. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace various roofing systems including pitched roofs (slate, tile) and flat roofs (felt, EPDM, GRP).
- Inspect roofs to determine the extent of damage or wear and provide accurate assessments.
- Prepare roof surfaces, remove old roofing materials, and ensure proper substrate readiness.
- Apply waterproofing membranes and sealants to prevent leaks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Safely erect and dismantle scaffolding or access equipment as required.
- Handle and transport roofing materials with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work site, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Complete projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in various roofing techniques (pitched, flat roofing).
- Strong understanding of roofing materials and their appropriate applications.
- Ability to work confidently and safely at heights.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength.
- Proficiency in using roofing tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to roofing work.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid UK Driving License.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with lead work and specialist roofing finishes.
