Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe loading, unloading, and accurate distribution of roofing materials and equipment on job sites.
- Prepare work areas meticulously by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and appropriate safety barriers.
- Help in the careful removal of old, damaged, or worn-out roofing materials.
- Provide active support to experienced roofers during the installation of new roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and membranes.
- Perform precise measurements and cuts of materials under direct supervision.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite throughout the project duration.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, construction regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under guidance.
- Perform general labor tasks as required to ensure project timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable physical stamina and strength for lifting, carrying, and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at heights on roofs and scaffolding.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
