As a Roofing Laborer, you will be an integral part of our project teams, assisting skilled roofers and carpenters in all phases of roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance. Your daily tasks will be varied and hands-on, encompassing everything from preparing job sites and safely handling materials to operating basic tools and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. This role demands reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to adhering to all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
You will be involved in essential groundwork, including loading and unloading materials such as shingles, tiles, insulation, and lumber, often requiring the safe lifting and maneuvering of heavy objects. Setting up and dismantling scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment will be a regular part of your duties. You will also assist in tearing off old roofing materials, clearing debris, and ensuring the site remains tidy throughout the project duration. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers and carpenters in all phases of roofing projects.
- Load, unload, and safely transport roofing materials (shingles, tiles, lumber, etc.) to and from job sites.
- Prepare job sites by setting up safety equipment, scaffolding, and ladders.
- Perform tear-offs of old roofing materials, clearing debris efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general site cleanup and waste disposal.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced team members.
- Perform other general construction labor duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights and on elevated surfaces.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
