Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms and suites to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation, following established procedures and checklists.
  • Make beds, change linens, and ensure all bedding is fresh and neatly arranged.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures within guest rooms.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors, replenishing amenities as needed.
  • Replenish all guest room supplies, including towels, toiletries, and minibar items, ensuring accurate inventory.
  • Handle and transport cleaning equipment, supplies, and soiled linen safely and efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as required, including public areas or linen room tasks.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a relentless commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order.
  • Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and pushing throughout the shift.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic communication skills (English or French) to interact politely with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain guest privacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) as a Room Attendant or in a similar housekeeping role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and equipment, and proper usage techniques.
  • A diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Housekeeping operations.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
