Job Description
The Royalty Administration Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Tribune Publishing’s diverse content portfolio. As a Royalty Administration Coordinator, you will manage the end-to-end royalty lifecycle, from contract interpretation and data entry to calculation, statement generation, and payment processing. Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage royalty statements and payments for authors, photographers, and other content contributors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
- Interpret complex contracts and agreements to accurately determine royalty rates, advance recoupment, and payment schedules.
- Maintain and update royalty tracking systems and databases with meticulous attention to detail.
- Reconcile royalty accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare detailed financial reports related to royalty expenses and provide analysis to management.
- Act as a primary point of contact for royalty-related inquiries from internal departments and external creators.
- Collaborate with legal, editorial, and finance teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of royalty administration processes and systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in royalty administration, accounts payable, or a similar financial coordination role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
