G4S Botswana is seeking dedicated Part-Time Safety Marshals to join our dynamic Event Control team in Kanye, Southern District. As a Safety Marshal, you will be instrumental in the smooth and secure execution of various events, from cultural festivals and sporting events to important community gatherings. Your primary role involves maintaining a safe environment for all attendees, staff, and performers by rigorously adhering to safety protocols, expertly managing crowd flow, and responding calmly and effectively to any potential incidents or emergencies. You will serve as a visible and approachable point of contact for event-goers, offering assistance, providing clear directions, and ensuring compliance with event regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor designated areas for potential safety hazards, unusual activities, or non-compliance with event rules.
- Implement and enforce crowd control measures to ensure orderly flow and prevent overcrowding in specific zones.
- Assist with the management of queues, entry, and exit points to maintain efficiency and safety.
- Respond promptly and calmly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, escalating situations to senior personnel as required.
- Provide clear and concise instructions and directions to event attendees, enhancing their experience and safety.
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure all emergency exits and pathways remain clear and accessible.
- Collaborate effectively with other safety personnel, security teams, and event organizers to ensure coordinated operations.
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs of activities, observations, and any issues encountered.
- Coordinate basic first aid in the event of minor injuries, directing individuals to medical points.
