Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and offer proactive assistance with product selection and queries.
  • Operate the till and process transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card, and digital payments.
  • Handle customer returns, exchanges, and complaints with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and visually appealing sales floor and checkout area.
  • Replenish stock, ensure products are correctly priced and displayed, and assist with merchandising efforts.
  • Promote current offers, loyalty programs, and additional services to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Support inventory management tasks, including stock counts and delivery processing.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high operational standards.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Proven ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and change calculation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
