Job Description

Movitel, S.A. is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in Chinde, Zambezia Province. This unique opportunity offers flexible scheduling options, allowing you to balance your professional ambitions with personal commitments. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of Movitel in your local area, engaging directly with customers, understanding their communication needs, and providing tailored solutions from our wide range of products and services, including mobile plans, internet packages, and value-added services. You will be instrumental in expanding our customer base, building lasting relationships, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for someone who is not only a natural communicator and persuasive salesperson but also deeply understands the local market dynamics of Chinde and can adapt sales strategies to meet specific community needs. Your success will directly contribute to our mission of connecting every Mozambican. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with potential and existing customers in the Chinde area to promote Movitel's products and services.
  • Clearly explain product features, benefits, and pricing, ensuring customers understand the value proposition.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for new subscriptions, product upgrades, and service activations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and assist customers with initial setup and troubleshooting of devices or services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Movitel's product offerings, promotions, and competitor activities.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in local marketing events, promotions, and community outreach initiatives as required.
  • Collect customer feedback and market insights to help improve products and services.
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports for management, tracking performance against targets.
  • Manage time effectively to accommodate flexible work schedules while maintaining productivity.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in retail or direct sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in Portuguese and local languages (e.g., Sena, Chuabo, Lomwe) highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for helping people.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with mobile technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the Chinde community and local market.
  • Experience with mobile money services and digital payment platforms.
