Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and results-driven retail sales professional with a passion for leadership? Digicel Jamaica is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our dynamic retail store team in Trench Town, Kingston. This pivotal role requires an individual who can not only meet and exceed aggressive sales targets but also inspire, train, and mentor a team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the overall operational success of the store, ensuring that our customers receive world-class service, up-to-date product knowledge, and comprehensive support for all Digicel services and products. You will be the face of Digicel in the Trench Town community, building strong, lasting relationships with our clientele and driving brand loyalty through consistent engagement and service excellence.
Your day-to-day will involve a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve ambitious objectives, managing store inventory meticulously to prevent shrinkage and ensure product availability, and meticulously overseeing visual merchandising standards to create an inviting and engaging store environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of retail sales associates to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand customer base and ensure the store's profitability.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure exceptional customer service delivery, resolving customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage store inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting regular audits to minimize shrinkage.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store cleanliness to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members, provide ongoing coaching, and identify training needs.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to regional management.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Digicel, actively promoting products and services within the community.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in retail sales management, preferably in telecommunications or electronics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
