Job Description
Are you a driven, results-oriented sales professional with a passion for the dynamic world of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)? GraceKennedy Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Representative to manage and grow our territory in Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios, and surrounding areas. This is a critical role responsible for driving sales volumes, expanding market share, and nurturing strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and customers within your assigned territory. You will be the face of GraceKennedy, ensuring our iconic brands are prominently displayed, readily available, and actively promoted. Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned product categories within the Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios territory.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing clients (supermarkets, convenience stores, wholesalers, etc.) and continuously seek out new business opportunities.
- Ensure optimal product placement, merchandising, and visibility in retail outlets, implementing promotional activities effectively.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback, providing timely reports and insights to management.
- Manage inventory levels and product freshness at client locations, minimizing stock-outs and returns.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and expense accounts in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular market visits, route planning, and efficient territory coverage to maximize sales potential.
- Introduce new products and secure listings, educating clients on product features and benefits.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical sales practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity for independent territory planning.
- Valid General Driver’s License and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Results-oriented and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience selling food and beverage products.
- Familiarity with sales CRM software and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of the Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios, and St. Ann parish retail landscape.
