Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the school bus at all times.
- Maintain discipline and a positive environment among students on the bus, enforcing safety rules.
- Assist students with special needs, including proper use of ramps, lifts, and securement devices, if applicable.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school personnel, parents, and students.
- Adhere to strict schedules while prioritizing student safety above all else.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily logs and incident reports.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B driver's license (or willingness to obtain with our training support).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
