Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in classrooms, offices, corridors, common areas, and staff rooms.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal in designated areas.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to a streak-free standard.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and fittings meticulously.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and school cleaning protocols.
- Support during school events or special cleaning tasks as required.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, stored correctly, and used safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas adjacent to buildings, including sweeping pathways and entrance areas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial services, preferably in a school or similar institutional environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment and their safe application.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
