Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors as required.
- Report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose fixtures, and other basic repairs.
- Assist with setting up and tidying up for school events, meetings, or special occasions.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial services, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe use.
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, mops, floor buffers).
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
