Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of sea freight import and export operations, from booking to final delivery.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, shipping lines, customs brokers, and overseas agents.
  • Prepare, check, and process all required shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, customs declarations, etc.).
  • Monitor cargo movements and provide proactive updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and service providers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with international shipping regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
  • Resolve operational discrepancies, delays, and customer service issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize freight management software for efficient workflow.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within sea freight operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sea freight forwarding operations.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping documentation, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
