Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude, offering recommendations and answering questions about seafood products.
- Cut, weigh, wrap, and label seafood items accurately and efficiently according to customer requests and store standards.
- Ensure the seafood counter is consistently stocked, clean, and visually appealing, adhering to strict hygiene and merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor product freshness, rotation, and temperatures to maintain optimal quality and safety.
- Handle cash and process customer payments accurately at the point of sale.
- Learn and apply all food safety and sanitation procedures related to seafood handling and preparation.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing incoming seafood deliveries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and uphold a high standard of customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and display cases.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and security.
