Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in extensive training programs covering search techniques, wilderness survival, first aid, navigation, and rescue operations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and deploy to incident sites as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Execute search plans, utilizing various methods and technologies to locate missing or distressed individuals.
  • Provide immediate medical assistance and stabilization to victims until professional medical help arrives.
  • Operate specialized equipment safely and effectively in diverse and challenging environmental conditions.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with team members, incident commanders, and other agencies.
  • Document incident details, actions taken, and observations accurately.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members and victims during all operations.
  • Participate in regular drills, exercises, and ongoing professional development to maintain readiness.

  • Knowledge of local geography and terrain in Manitoba.
