Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the secondary school curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic student development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide events, and professional development sessions.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching at secondary school level.
