Key Responsibilities
- Operate and continuously monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security surveillance equipment to detect and effectively deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
- Strictly control and manage access to premises, meticulously verifying identities of all visitors, employees, and contractors, issuing temporary passes, and maintaining accurate, real-time access logs.
- Conduct regular, thorough patrols of the facility, encompassing both internal and external areas, to proactively identify and report any potential security breaches, hazards, or maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all alarms, emergency situations, and security incidents, strictly following established procedures for incident reporting and appropriate escalation.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently, fairly, and with utmost professionalism.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive security investigations and meticulously gathering evidence as required.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and concise daily logs of all security activities, notable incidents, and relevant observations.
- Provide professional, courteous, and helpful assistance to staff and visitors, while consistently upholding and prioritizing security integrity.
- Conduct bag and vehicle searches as per company policy when and where necessary, ensuring compliance and respect.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency services when situations demand external intervention or support.
- Actively participate in ongoing security training programs and regular drills to enhance preparedness and skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in security operations, access control, or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV and alarm monitoring systems.
- Strong observational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for logging, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

- Valid Security Guard certification or license (e.g., from a recognized Nigerian security association).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
