Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of bank premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, or other security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, promptly reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to the relevant authorities and security management.
- Control access to the bank, verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter restricted areas.
- Respond effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist in the protection of bank assets, including cash, documents, and equipment.
- Provide assistance to customers and staff in security-related matters, offering directions and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and observations.
- Enforce bank security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing support during investigations.
- Perform routine checks on security equipment to ensure functionality and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Good physical condition, capable of standing, walking, and performing duties as required.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a security role, preferably within a financial institution or corporate environment.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and protocols.
- Fluency in both English and Sesotho.
