Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Assistant – Property Monitoring to join our growing team in Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos. This vital role involves safeguarding our clients’ properties, assets, and personnel through continuous surveillance, proactive threat detection, and rapid response protocols. As a Security Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining a secure environment, utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, and meticulously documenting all observations and incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance of assigned properties using CCTV cameras and other monitoring systems.
- Monitor access points, perimeter fences, and internal areas for unauthorized entry or suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, as required, to ensure physical security.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance issues discovered during monitoring or patrols.
- Assist in the enforcement of company security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with emergency services (police, fire department) during critical incidents.
- Provide clear and concise communication to supervisors regarding security status and incidents.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security or surveillance role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating CCTV and other security monitoring equipment.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field.
- Certification in security operations or surveillance techniques.
- Previous experience with access control systems.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a plus.
