Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Security Consultant to join our vibrant team in Altstadt, Magdeburg. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing on internal systems and applications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on security architecture, technology selection, and secure coding practices.
  • Respond to security incidents, lead forensic investigations, and implement effective recovery strategies.
  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and potential threats, ensuring timely detection and remediation.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness, best practices, and policy compliance through training sessions.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, technologies, and regulations, continuously evolving our security posture.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in security assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Metasploit, Burp Suite).
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
  • Experience with cloud security principles and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and BSI IT-Grundschutz.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or OSCP.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a consulting role or managing security projects.
