Career.zycto is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard – Corporate Entry to join our team in Westwood, Los Angeles. This vital role is responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. As a Corporate Entry Security Guard, you will be the first point of contact, embodying professionalism and ensuring strict adherence to security protocols. Your primary duties will include monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence. This position requires an individual with excellent observational skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You will work closely with facility management and other security personnel to implement and enforce security policies, ensuring a seamless and protective operational flow. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access at designated corporate entry points, verifying identities and issuing visitor badges.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to detect and deter unauthorized activities, hazards, or breaches of security.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security activities.
- Operate and monitor security equipment, including CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm panels.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to employees and visitors, while maintaining a security-first approach.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical incidents.
- Conduct thorough searches and inspections as required by security policy.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with security best practices and technology.
Required Skills
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate security, loss prevention, or a similar field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and security software (e.g., CCTV monitoring, access control systems)
- Ability to observe situations and make sound decisions quickly and under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and respond to emergencies.
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice or a related field
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Experience with incident reporting platforms
- Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal security regulations
- Previous experience working in a multi-tenant corporate environment.
