Career.zycto is seeking highly professional and proactive Security Guards to provide essential day and night shift coverage for our client sites across Clifton, Bristol. This pivotal role involves protecting premises, assets, and personnel by maintaining a high-visibility presence, preventing unauthorized access, and responding effectively to incidents. As a Security Guard with Career.zycto, you will be the front-line ambassador of safety, responsible for deterring illegal and inappropriate actions, observing and reporting activity, and ensuring a secure environment around the clock. Your role is critical in upholding peace and order, requiring keen attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and the ability to act decisively under pressure. We are looking for individuals who can seamlessly transition between day and night duties, demonstrating unwavering commitment and reliability regardless of the hour. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your expertise in surveillance, access control, and emergency response will be vital to our continuous commitment to security excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated premises, both internally and externally, ensuring all security points are secure.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, responding promptly and appropriately to any alerts or suspicious activity.
- Manage access control for visitors, contractors, and staff, verifying credentials and maintaining accurate logs.
- Effectively respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation as required.
- Provide a visible deterrent to crime and unauthorized access, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all occupants.
- Liaise with emergency services, clients, and internal management during incidents and for routine communications.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all individuals on site.
- Conduct welfare checks and provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed, maintaining a professional and helpful demeanour.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and during emergencies.
- Basic IT proficiency for report writing and CCTV monitoring.
- Proven reliability and punctuality, essential for shift-based roles.
- Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and stand for extended periods.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security guard role, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- CCTV Operator Licence (Public Space Surveillance).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with various alarm and access control systems.
