Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and highly dependable Full-Time Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets in Matola, Maputo Province. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas on foot and/or by vehicle to ensure the security of the premises.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to identify and respond to any unusual activities or potential threats.
- Control access points, verify credentials, and register visitors and contractors according to company policy.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, offering directions or support as needed.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and suspicious activities to management.
- Perform routine checks on security systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with emergency services (police, fire, medical) when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position, minimum 1 year.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a corporate or industrial security setting.
- Proficiency in Portuguese (local language advantage).
