Job Description
Sekhoele Security Services is urgently seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our growing team in Ha Sekake, Qacha’s Nek. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas regularly to identify and report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) to detect and prevent unauthorized entry, theft, or vandalism.
- Control access to premises, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances, following established protocols.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Provide assistance to staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner when needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper functionality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to operate surveillance systems and basic security equipment.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard certification or equivalent training.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Prior experience working in a rural or community security setting.
- A clean criminal record and a valid driver's license.
