Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team in Ha Rafolatsane, Mokhotlong, with an immediate start. This critical role is essential for maintaining the safety and security of our personnel, property, and highly valuable assets. As a Security Guard, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for deterring unauthorized access, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with all security protocols. Your day-to-day will involve patrolling designated areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and diligently documenting all activities and irregularities. We require an individual who possesses keen observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to act swiftly and calmly under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor and operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, and promptly report any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access to company premises, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors, and issuing passes as required.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the nature of the incident and taking appropriate action, including contacting relevant authorities.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify and resolve potential security risks.
- Maintain accurate records of all incidents, observations, and activities in a daily security log.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Report all safety hazards, maintenance issues, and other concerns to appropriate management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role (minimum 12 months)
- Ability to operate surveillance systems and basic security equipment.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard certification or license from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience in mining or industrial security.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
