Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of designated premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or damage.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control points to ensure site security.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and contractors, verifying credentials and managing visitor logs.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols.
  • Report all incidents, suspicious activities, and maintenance issues in detail through written reports and verbal communication.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions.
  • Assist in emergency evacuation procedures and provide first aid when required.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure the safety of employees and visitors.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a security role (e.g., Security Guard, Door Supervisor, Loss Prevention).
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interaction.
  • Proficiency in operating security equipment (CCTV, alarm systems, access control).
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence (or equivalent international qualification recognized for UK employment).
  • Eligibility for UK Visa Sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience with advanced security technology and incident management systems.
  • Previous experience in a corporate or commercial security environment.
