Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and dependable Security Guard to join our team for the night shift at our bustling warehouse facility in Bloomington, Minnesota. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the warehouse perimeter and interior areas during the night shift.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized entry, theft, or other security violations.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, incident reports, and activity records.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Control access to the facility, verifying identification and issuing visitor badges as required.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for tampering or discrepancies.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Perform routine safety checks and report any potential hazards or maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Minnesota Security Guard License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in security, loss prevention, or a related field.
- Proven ability to operate surveillance equipment and alarm systems.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and data entry.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial security setting.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
