Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned mall and office premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire, and theft.
- Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) to identify any suspicious activities or potential security threats.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents, including medical emergencies and disturbances.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patrons and tenants with inquiries, directions, and general assistance.
- Liaise effectively with law enforcement, emergency services, and management during incidents or investigations.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Operate and maintain various security equipment and systems, reporting any malfunctions.
- Conduct searches of individuals and/or property as required by company policy and legal guidelines.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license (valid and current)
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Basic first aid knowledge (certification preferred)
- Proficiency in written English for report writing
- Knowledge of relevant security procedures and legal guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced First Aid certification
- CCTV Operator license
- Experience in a retail or commercial property security environment
- Proficiency with security software and communication systems
