Job Description
KingAlarm Systems is seeking a dedicated and highly vigilant Security Officer to join our elite team, specializing in night shift operations for a prestigious private estate located in Thompson Town, Clarendon. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the private estate, including perimeter checks, property inspections, and monitoring designated areas during the night shift.
- Operate and monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security technologies to detect and deter unauthorized activities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security activities.
- Control access to the estate, verifying credentials of authorized personnel and visitors, and strictly enforcing entry and exit policies.
- Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities to the appropriate authorities and estate management.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary during critical incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant security regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a private estate or corporate environment.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and monitor various security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to act calmly and decisively under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
- Valid PSRA (Private Security Regulation Authority) license.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working night shifts.
- Prior experience in VIP protection or executive security.
- Knowledge of local security laws and regulations in Jamaica.
