Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Operations Aide to join our team in Mile 12, Lagos. As a Security Operations Aide, you will be on the front lines, ensuring compliance with all security policies and procedures, and responding effectively to any security incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire, and other security risks.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, promptly reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification for all visitors, employees, and contractors.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a detailed logbook.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
- Assist in the investigation of security-related incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to staff and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Operate security equipment, including two-way radios, metal detectors, and access control systems.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a security-related role (e.g., security guard, patrol officer, surveillance operator).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Proficiency in using basic security equipment (radios, CCTV monitoring).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., certified security professional).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
