Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and via vehicle, to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points for security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Document and report all security incidents, irregularities, maintenance issues, and suspicious activities.
- Enforce client-specific security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Control access to properties, verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Provide assistance and direction to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical events.
- Maintain a visible and commanding presence to ensure a secure and safe environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Patrol Aide, Security Guard, or similar role.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective interaction.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure and during emergencies.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and safety regulations.
- Valid Nigerian National Identification (NIN) or other relevant national ID.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for clear reporting and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a security role within the Abuja FCT.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of basic CCTV monitoring systems and alarm responses.
