Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated properties and areas to ensure security.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points for irregularities.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Identify and report security breaches, suspicious activities, and safety hazards.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports of all activities and observations.
- Enforce company and client policies, rules, and regulations.
- Provide assistance to clients, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Perform access control duties, verifying identities and authorizing entry/exit.
- Implement first-aid or emergency procedures as necessary until professional help arrives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a security officer or security patrol aide (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to operate surveillance technology and security equipment
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
- Valid Mozambican driver's license (if vehicle patrols are required)
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities under pressure
- Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English
- Clean criminal record
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role within commercial or residential properties.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local security regulations in Maputo.
- Proficiency in additional local languages.
