GardaWorld Security Services Kenya is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Supervisor to join our dedicated team in South C, Nairobi. This pivotal role requires an individual with a proven track record in managing security operations, leading teams, and upholding the highest standards of safety and vigilance. As a Security Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the physical security of our client’s premises, assets, and personnel. You will be directly responsible for overseeing a team of security officers, implementing and enforcing rigorous security protocols, meticulously responding to incidents, and ensuring seamless communication across all levels of operation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring high performance, professional conduct, and strict adherence to company policies and client protocols.
- Develop, implement, and consistently monitor robust security procedures and policies to effectively safeguard premises, assets, and personnel.
- Conduct regular and thorough patrols and inspections to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Respond promptly, efficiently, and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and all security incidents, meticulously documenting all occurrences and coordinating seamlessly with relevant authorities and emergency services.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations of security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, preparing detailed analytical reports and offering actionable recommendations for corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Oversee the strategic deployment and flexible scheduling of security personnel to ensure optimal coverage, efficient resource allocation, and sustained operational readiness.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to security officers on evolving security procedures, effective emergency response techniques, and superior customer service standards.
- Maintain open, transparent, and proactive lines of communication with client management, providing regular, concise updates on security matters and promptly addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Manage and operate advanced access control systems, sophisticated CCTV monitoring platforms, and other cutting-edge security technologies.
- Ensure all security equipment is fully functional, well-maintained, and regularly serviced, reporting any malfunctions promptly for immediate resolution.
- Perform detailed risk assessments and recommend impactful security enhancements to continuously improve overall site security posture.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and exceptional team management abilities, including coaching and motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Strong understanding of modern security principles, operational protocols, and comprehensive incident management procedures.
- Proficiency in utilizing various security equipment and sophisticated surveillance systems.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
- Valid certificate of good conduct (Police Clearance Certificate).
- Current First Aid and Fire Fighting certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Criminology, Security Management, or a closely related field.
- Additional certifications in advanced security technologies or risk management.
- Previous experience in a corporate, commercial, or diplomatic security environment.
- In-depth knowledge of local security regulations, laws, and compliance standards.
- Experience with integrated security management systems (ISMS).
