Job Description
Guardsman Group Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and vigilant Security Supervisor to take charge of comprehensive security operations at a prestigious gated residential estate situated in the serene community of Ginger Hill, Savanna-la-Mar. This is a unique and challenging live-in position, requiring a deep and comprehensive commitment to ensuring the absolute safety and peace of mind for all residents and the meticulous protection of their valuable assets within a secure and exclusive environment. The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of our on-site security team, tasked with leading, motivating, and expertly managing a contingent of professional security officers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will extend beyond mere supervision; you will be instrumental in developing and continuously refining robust security protocols, conducting proactive risk assessments, and implementing cutting-edge surveillance and access control measures to maintain an impenetrable security perimeter.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of security officers, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a strong team dynamic.
- Implement, enforce, and continuously review all security policies, procedures, and protocols specific to the gated estate.
- Conduct regular and thorough patrols of the estate perimeter, common areas, and individual properties to identify and address potential security risks or breaches.
- Manage all aspects of access control systems, including visitor registration, resident credential verification, and vehicle entry/exit procedures.
- Respond effectively, professionally, and promptly to all security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and calls for assistance.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other essential documentation as required by company standards and estate management.
- Liaise regularly and effectively with estate management, residents, and local law enforcement agencies regarding all pertinent security matters.
- Conduct security briefings and regular drills to ensure the entire security team is well-prepared and proficient in handling various scenarios.
- Monitor CCTV systems and other electronic security equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and responsiveness.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant private security regulations (PSRA) and internal company standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for all security-related inquiries and concerns from residents.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a dedicated supervisory role.
- Valid Private Security Regulation Authority (PSRA) license (or the ability to obtain one promptly upon hiring).
- Demonstrated expertise in security procedures, risk assessment, incident management, and emergency response.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, suitable for reporting and resident interaction.
- Proficiency in using and managing security equipment, including CCTV, access control systems, and two-way radios.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make critical decisions under pressure.
- High level of integrity, unwavering professionalism, and utmost discretion.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Comfortable with and committed to a live-in residential arrangement within the estate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in security for gated communities, resorts, or high-end residential properties.
- Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Training and practical experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of local Jamaican security laws, regulations, and best practices.
- A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
