Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of BI solutions, including data warehousing, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and actionable BI strategies.
- Develop and maintain advanced data models, metrics, and interactive dashboards using leading BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on data architecture, data governance, and best practices for BI implementation.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making for clients.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering their technical and consulting skills.
- Manage project timelines, scope, and deliverables, ensuring successful project completion within budget and expectations.
- Prepare and present compelling reports and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging BI technologies, industry trends, and data analytics best practices.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution conceptualization and proposal development.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data warehousing, or data analytics roles, with at least 2 years in a consulting capacity.
- Expert proficiency in at least one leading BI platform (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense) for dashboard and report development.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in English; French is a strong asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based BI platforms and services (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Power BI Service).
- Knowledge of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Certifications in relevant BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Certified Professional).
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis.
