Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and review of individual care packages, ensuring they meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of care staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular client assessments and reviews, adapting care plans as necessary in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals.
- Manage care staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient allocation of resources.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, families, and external stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in the recruitment and induction of new care staff, providing guidance and support.
- Handle escalated issues and critical incidents, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of care services within the organisation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a care setting (e.g., Carer, Support Worker, Coordinator).
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using IT systems for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a care coordinator or supervisory role.

- Training in first aid and safeguarding adults.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
