Padenga Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced and self-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. While our operations span across Zimbabwe, this pivotal role offers a remote option, allowing you to contribute significantly from Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central Province, or another suitable remote location within Zimbabwe. You will be instrumental in unearthing insights from various operational, financial, and market data sources across our agricultural and mining ventures. Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex data analysis projects, from conceptualization to presentation, leveraging large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop, maintain, and automate interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support operational efficiency.
- Perform statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and forecasting to support strategic planning and risk assessment across agricultural and mining operations.
- Collaborate closely with various departments, including operations, finance, and marketing, to understand business needs and translate them into robust analytical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all data sources, championing best practices in data management and data warehousing principles.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong data-driven culture within the organization through knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, utilizing compelling narratives and visuals.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation from relational databases.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and statistical programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R.
- Extensive experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) for creating compelling and interactive dashboards and reports.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery).
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail, capable of working independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Certifications in relevant data analytics platforms or tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics).
- Prior experience in agriculture, mining, or a related industrial sector.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
