Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Mobile App Product Owner to lead the strategic direction, development, and growth of Steward Bank’s mobile banking applications. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of mobile technology, financial services, and customer-centric product development. As the Senior Mobile App Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind our mobile app strategy, responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap, and execution for our award-winning digital platforms. You will bridge the gap between business objectives, customer needs, and technical implementation, ensuring our mobile apps deliver exceptional value and a seamless user experience.
Your day-to-day will involve collaborating intensely with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, legal, and compliance. You will be instrumental in identifying market opportunities, conducting competitive analysis, and gathering comprehensive user feedback to inform product enhancements and new feature development. You will own the product backlog, prioritize features based on strategic importance and customer impact, and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories. Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking product performance post-launch, and iterating based on data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Steward Bank’s mobile banking applications.
- Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation, research, development, launch, to post-launch iteration and optimization.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities and pain points.
- Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and customer value.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI designers, marketing, legal, and compliance teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for mobile app-related inquiries and provide expert guidance to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making within the product team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile app development and financial technology.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with a strong focus on mobile applications.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing mobile products (iOS and Android).
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product management tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and A/B testing to drive product improvements.
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Experience in the financial services or FinTech industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MSc in Digital Product Management).
- Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, PSPO).
- Experience with banking core systems or payment platforms.
- Familiarity with digital security protocols and regulatory compliance in financial services.
