Are you a visionary UI Designer ready to shape the future of digital experiences in Mutare? Bentech Systems, a dynamic and growing IT solutions provider in Manicaland, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI Designer to join our innovative team. This pivotal role involves leading the design of intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional user interfaces for a diverse range of web and mobile applications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire UI design lifecycle from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with user experience goals and technical constraints.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and user flows using industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Conduct comprehensive user research, gather feedback, and perform usability testing to iterate and continuously improve design solutions.
- Establish and maintain robust design systems, comprehensive style guides, and reusable UI libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across all products and projects.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and other designers, to deliver innovative and technically feasible solutions.
- Mentor junior designers, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning within the team.
- Stay abreast of the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies, advocating for best practices and introducing new ideas to enhance our design processes and outputs.
- Present design concepts, rationale, and user research findings clearly and persuasively to internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Ensure all designs are accessible, responsive, and perform optimally across various devices, screen sizes, and platforms.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a UI Designer or similar role.
- Expert proficiency with leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI design skills, user-centered design principles, and a deep understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining design systems and UI component libraries.
- Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and methodologies.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Knowledge of animation principles for UI interactions.
