Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value search terms and inform content strategy.
- Perform technical SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations for website optimization (site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability, indexation).
- Develop and implement on-page SEO strategies, including optimizing meta titles, descriptions, headings, and internal linking structures.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content calendars and optimize existing content for improved search visibility and user engagement.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other third-party SEO platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
- Execute link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and organic rankings.
- Identify and troubleshoot SEO issues, providing solutions to enhance overall website health.
- Educate internal teams on SEO best practices and ensure consistent application across all digital assets.
- Analyze competitor SEO strategies and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on ranking and content optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO elements (crawlability, indexability, site architecture, structured data).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrable experience in driving organic traffic and improving search engine rankings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with international SEO and localization.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Certification in Google Analytics and/or Google Ads.
