Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including fuel dispensing, convenience store sales, and car wash services.
  • Manage and optimize fuel and retail inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate a team of station attendants and retail staff.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met and exceeded, promptly resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and merchandising across the entire site.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to increase profitability and achieve sales targets.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, perform daily reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce all company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance (e.g., H&S, environmental, trading laws).
  • Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Develop and implement local marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in retail or service station management (minimum 4 years).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and implement effective business strategies.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to service stations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Fluency in German and English (for communication with diverse customers and suppliers).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Certified training in hazardous materials handling or petroleum operations.
  • Experience with advanced fuel management systems and technology.
  • Prior experience managing a 24/7 retail operation.
